Michael Servetus (1509) verses John Calvin (1509)

Michael Servetus (1509) verses John Calvin (1509).   This topic examines the credibility of an icon in Christian conservative theology.  Nearly all the facts in this study come from pro-Calvinist sources.

Why this consideration? Today John Calvin is often touted as great historical Christian leader with great credibility. Should we, therefore, patently accept his views without reservation? John Calvin was a great intellectual Protestant Reformer in his day. He was an intellectual with a very logical mind, the son of a lawyer. He was a social elite in the prime of his days. Yet, we must ask, was his Christian behavior what the Bible demands of mature Christian leaders? This should be examined before we blindly assume the teachings* of John Calvin are Divinely Inspired and correct.

* Calvinism as defined by the "T.U.L.I.P." acrostic. It is also known as the "Doctrines of Grace" or "Reform Theology."
