The purpose of this Bible Study is to answer the question, “What is sin?” We'll examine the Old Testament perspective and New Testament perspectives, the relationship of sin to depravity, why God objects to sin rather than depravity, and how sin is atoned and forgiven.  A solid simple Biblical understanding about sin is required if  we, as Christians, want to avoid sin.  This is a detailed study intended to cover several of the basic theological aspects to one degree or another. It will take considerable time to go through this lengthy study. Take time to ponder and look-up Scripture references cited for better edification from the Holy Spirit.  If you have never studied the details of Scripture closely concerning Sin and Salvation, then this Study is for you.  It is written simply and succinctly.  Much Scripture is quoted in proper context.  Where some doctrinal biases do exist, then such is mentioned and NOT hidden.  There is no pretense.  Let's take a look at all this together in a simple systematic way.
